Really depends on the photo, if it needs some touching up in terms of blemishes/evening out the tones in the skin etc. I will do all of that first. I do use curves later on to tweak the colours etc.
I’d use curves at some point, and sometimes multiple curve masks, for pretty much every photo I edit though if that’s what you were wanting to know.
